I am an art enthusiast by heart, something that I grew up with from a very early age. My mother was a creative and back in the days I would watch her crochet and make very beautiful, delicate and complicated designs with a tiny hook of table clothes and seat covers. Growing up in a small town in Kenya’s western region, every home had their couches adorning beautiful crochet couch covers made by the mothers of the household. That’s where it all began for me, watching my mum create.
However, I didn’t explore this space until some time in 2017, in my 30’s. I am an engineer by profession, and in 2017, I was sent on a work assignment as an Expatriate to Nigeria. Having had my hand busy with work and family in Kenya, I very quickly realised I had a lot of time in my hands with nothing much to do after work. So I remembered crochet, ordered some hooks and yarn and I started learning how to crochet. I made a couple of pieces that I wear to date, but packed my hooks again when it got too busy.

It wasn’t until 2024 summer that I picked my yarn and hook again. My little girl has been my model, wearing my pieces, asking me to make her craft that she proudly wears. My husband says i am addicted, and can’t I agree more. I am hooked and taking this further now.
Every piece I create means something to me and I would love to share the joy of crochet with you all in the pieces I make.
